2 wins from two has given the Seasiders a fantastic start to the league season. A loss against rivals Preston in the cup had caused fans some concern, but picking up six points and gaining 2nd spot is all we could really ask of the team.

Obviously there are still a lot of problems, with the squad being massively short in numbers. It`s fantastic seeing the young players at the club being given a chance, thought it`s not as if Boss Paul Ince has a choice.

Our starting 11 can certainly challenge and beat teams as we`ve seen already, even If the performances they`ve put in have come under scrutiny from some supporters.

Recent reports have linked the club with a move for Jon Flanagan. A right back is definitely what the club needs at the moment, I`m sure we`d all much rather see Kirk Broadfoot playing in the centre of defence as oppose to the right back position.

Even though the club has done exactly what we`ve asked, and gone out and won the first two games. It is in no disrespect to Barnsley and Doncaster when I say that there are certainly teams in the division that will prove a tougher test than these two teams.

But the good start has certainly given me and I`m sure many others of you hope, with more additions to the team we can definitely challenge at the right end of the table this season. Pool are likely to bring in 5 or 6 faces before the end of the transfer window, it`s just a case of how quickly Oyston and Ince can get them in.
