Nothing short of a win gives Blackpool any chance of staying in League 1.

Tom Aldred has called upon his teammate (and feels this will be the case) to ‘pull together’ and get the win over Peterborough that Blackpool need to have a chance of finishing above Fleetwood, who of course have to lose to Crewe too.

Aldred has told the Official Website we need to ‘fight for each other’ like we have previously against Fleetwood, Doncaster and Crewe to get the points we needed. We can’t influence what Fleetwood do but can put ourselves in a position to ‘take advantage’ of any Cod Army slip up.

‘We need to pull together as a team and show fight and determination to never give up, whatever the circumstances. We need to dig each other out and fight for each other. We`ve got to stand up and be counted like we did against the likes of Fleetwood, Doncaster and Crewe. We can`t influence things elsewhere, so must be in a position to take advantage of the opportunity if it comes.’

Other challenges have been ‘overcome’ this season with him looking for us to go one last time.

With the help of the defender Pools did manage to beat Peterborough at Bloomfield Road at the end of last year, where we also managed a cleansheet with the same wanted at London Road tomorrow.

He finished by saying we’ll do ‘all we can’ to try and avoid another relegation.

‘We`ve beaten Peterborough already this season and picked up a clean sheet, we now need a similar result on Sunday. We`re well aware of what needs to happen and we`ll be doing all we can to try and stay in League One.’
