Hameur Bouazza has today been confirmed as a Blackpool player after the club received international clearance for his move to Bloomfield Road.

The Algerian international – who is currently linked up with the national squad for their game against Zambia at the weekend – cancelled his contract at former club Sivasspor last week after just one game for the Turkish outfit.

That alerted ‘Pool boss Ian Holloway into swooping for the left winger, beating off competition from a host of Championship clubs including most notably Sheffield United and PNE.

Formerly of Fulham and Watford, Bouazza is well thought of in English football and will prove to be an extremely shrewd piece of business by the Seasiders, who have his services for a year, with the option of another which is bound to be taken up.
