Manager Neil McDonald was again left pleased with Blackpool’s turn of form following the result against Southend United.

With Phil Brown’s Play Off promoted side again hoping for a shot at League One Play Off spots and with Blackpool struggling all season at the wrong end of the table, picking up all three points at Bloomfield Road could be huge for the side given the games in hand those below them hold.

With goals from Mark Cullen and Leicester loanee Jacob Blyth taking the side one step closer to safety, McDonald knows there’s a real hope now with them being four unbeaten with three wins in that.
