Manager Neil McDonald and Jim McAlister have been speaking ahead of the hosting of Colchester United this weekend and spoken about handling the pressure of the season run in, with the club’s recent performances and victories giving hope of avoiding a successive relegation and finding themselves in League Two next season.

Sitting in the last safety place in the League One table, Blackpool are only there by one point on Oldham Athletic, and the Boundary Park outfit have two games in hand on McDonald’s side.

This obviously means Colchester remains a must win with a ‘vast amount of pressure’ on the side to do just that.

As for McAlister’s interview, he praised the side for dealing with the pressures so far, and how the next month is going to be ‘tough’.
