The Blackpool Gazette has revealed that Blackpool FC shareholder and club president Valeri Belokon has filed a claim in the high court against the Oyston family.
Belokon was instrumental in Pool’s rise from League One to the Premier League and his investment helped secure the signing of Charlie Adam and the building of Bloomfield Road’s South Stand.
The Gazette has revealed that Belokon has met Owen Oyston since last year but has been preparing to file a claim for at least 12 months.
Belokon’s claim will be filed under section 994 of the Companies Act 2006 which relates to ‘unfair prejudice’.
Belokon, much like the fans, has been unsatisfied for a while with the way the club is being run and how money is being taken out of the club into Oyston owned businesses.
Belokon is set to release a statement shortly.
