It’s now eight-matches without a win for Blackpool as the inevitable moved a step closer when Sheffield Wednesday became the latest side to go away from Bloomfield Road with the points.

A goal, early in the second half, was enough to give the visitors a one-nil win.

Lee Clark wasn’t too downbeat though as he feels the performances of the youngsters offered us hope going forward (Click Here).

In the process of this defeat though – even though the others in the bottom three all lost – we slipped 17-points adrift of safety as Rotherham won so that inevitability of relegation into League 1, which has seemed the case for most of the season, moved a step closer with it just a matter of if and not when our fate is confirmed….

Sheffield Wednesday, who sit comfortably just above midtable but too far off the play-offs to make an impact and in no relegation danger, controlled the most part of the game with McGugan going close and Nuhiu failing to hit the target with a header.

Unsurprisingly our best chance fell to O’Hara, a freekick from him curled over about as close as we came before Sheffield Wednesday’s loanee from Watford McGugan curled in a freekick that missed everyone to end up in the net for the winner.
