Blackpool’s run of defeats ended but a second half Leeds equaliser denied us a rare win, although the main story of this game was the decision of hundreds of fans to boycott the game – which is fully understandable! – in protest against the Oyston family opting to watch AFC Blackpool instead.

A rare lead was taken into the break at Bloomfield Road but a second half equaliser from Leeds meant that the game ended in a one-one draw on Saturday.

Such have been our problems this season, well one of the areas of problems, when Madine (44) followed up with a diving header to put us ahead after Orlandi had hit the woodwork with a freekick the Sheffield Wednesday loanees goal that put us ahead was his third for us making him our joint top goalscorer!

Leeds could have levelled though Antenucci but did just past the hour when the same man, Antenucci (62), made the most of a mistake by Clarke to get in and lobbed the ball past Lewis to make it one-one.

Still a win would have come had it not been for Leeds ‘keeper Silvestri, who saved to keep out loanees Addison and Jacobs with our point ending the run of six successive defeats but relegation, even though we’ve known for most the season it was going to happen, could be confirmed against Bolton after the international break….
