Blackpool secured a win over Portsmouth in League 2 on Tuesday.
An opener came from Blackpool early in the match when Payne’s freekick was headed in by Mellor but Pompey were level before half time when an brilliant overhead effort from Chaplin found the back of the net.
Blackpool’s lead was restored early in the second half when Gnanduillet and Vassell combined to leave Potts with a simple tap in before Vassell secured the points midway through the second half to give Pools only a second home win of the season.
