On the pitch

Two crucial home games yielded three points.
Blackpool lost narrowly to rivals Burnley on Tuesday after an 85th minute goal from Kalvenes won the game at a blustery Bloomfield Road.

But yesterday the Seasiders swept aside fellow strugglers Norwich City 2-0. In a dominant performance Blackpool’s persistence paid off in the second half with stunning goals from Brett Ormerod and an exquisite chip from Charlie Adam in front of the jubilant North stand.
The win moves Blackpool five points clear of the relegation zone and puts us six points better off than the Canaries.

Off the pitch

Striker Nick Blackman has signed on loan from Blackburn for a month. The 19 year old former Macclesfield forward made his debut coming off the bench in the second half against Burnley.

Meanhwile, Marlon Broomes has been recalled by Blackpool from his loan spell at Crewe. The defender was on the bench against Norwich after injuries to Rob Edwards and Ian Evatt.

Former Pool striker Keigan Parker has joined Hartlepool on loan from Huddersfield. Parker could now partner current Blackpool player Daniel Nardiello up front for Hartlepool.

‘In the cold light of day` not very pleasant Jerry, but you`ve made some pretty pertinent points. Let`s try and stay positive though, especially after yesterday’s crucial win.

Another massive week lies in wait for the Tangerines with two trips to Yorkshire. Sheffield United on Tuesday and Barnsley on Saturday present Pool with more chances to climb away from danger. If we perform like we did yesterday I’m confident survival can be acheived.

Finally a special mention to all the fans at Bloomers yesterday who I thought were excellent. The atmosphere was very good considering how poor the home form has been.
