On the pitch:
Two tough looking away trips yielded three points for Pool.
The Tangerines succumbed to a 2-0 defeat at Cardiff City on Tuesday. Blackpool seemed to be on course for a point until they conceded twice in the last seven minutes to lose their unbeaten run.
But all that was to be forgotten about at Vicarage Road yesterday. Three times Pool drew level against Watford before Alan Gow scored a last minute winner for the visitors to edge the seven goal thriller. Keith Southern’s sweet left foot strike, his first of the season, made it 1-1 in the first half. Ben Burgess and Gary Taylor-Fletcher continued their execellent scoring records so far this year in the second half before Gow stole the points in injury time.

Stalemate for second string:
Blackpool Reserves drew 1-1 with Accrington’s second string at Bloomfield Road on Wednesday night. Marlon Broomes was on target for the Seasiders.

Off the pitch:
Injury victims Steve McPhee, Danny Nardiello and Stephen Crainey remain on the sidelines much to the manager’s frustrations.
Thankfully Steve Kabba will be fit to face Ipswich next Saturday, but he will most likely start on the bench because of the form of Ben Burgess and Alan Gow who now have nine goals between them this season.

Best thread on the forum:
‘Drop Coid now’ initiated by michaelP after yesterday’s thrilling win at Watford. I’m afraid I, like many others, are in the Coid camp and think he is Mr Blackpool FC. I am delighted he is in the team at the moment as he is currently our best option at left back. Sorry michaelP!

So, 21 points gained from the first quarter of the season. It’s been a very good start for the Seasiders. Ipswich at home to come, then it’s the big one against the team which lost when two gaols up at home to Southampton! November looks like it could be another cracking month following the Pool.
