On the Pitch
The Seasiders’ recorded their first win of the season at St. Mary’s beating Southampton 1-0. Ben Burgess scored the only goal from the penalty spot, his second successful spot kick of the season. The win pushed Pool up to 15th in the Championship table.

Embarrassment
The reserves crashed to an humiliating 7-1 defeat at Bamber Bridge against bitter rivals Preston. Ressies coach Steve Thompson described the game as ’emabarrassing’.

Transfer front
Simon Grayson beat the transfer deadline last Monday to snare Rangers’ midfielder Alan Gow on loan until January. A fee has been agreed between Rangers and Blackpool should both parties wish to make the move permanent in the new year.

Left back Mo Camara is primed to extend his stay at the seaside when the loan window re-opens this coming Tuesday.

Both Grayson and Chairman Karl Oyston hinted at players leaving Blackpool on loan next week to gain some first team football. Stuart Green, Alex John-Baptiste and Michael D’Agostino seem the most likely candidates for a move.

Off the pitch
Karl Oyston revealed that when the south stand is completed, visitng supporters, should the demand for tickets be higher than what the Gene Kelly can hold, could be housed in the North stand. Surely not! Can’t we just stick a few more temporary tiers on the East?

Meanwhile the home game with Preston was moved to Sunday November 16 with a 1pm kick-off.

A tough choice but I have gone with the debate initiated by bispham_tangerine about whether Keith Southern walks straight back into the team against Barnsley now he has served his suspension. Some argued for Southern’s return while others were still upset with his red card at Macclesfield. It’ll be a tough choice for Larry iwth regard to team selection next week.
