It’s being reported that Blackpool have missed out on their first summer target with Hayden White signing up with Peterborough United.
Having been on loan with the club and making 29 appearances in our slide into League Two for next season, the right back was high on manager Neil McDonald’s wishlist for the coming campaign and he told the Blackpool Gazette that he’d been trying all year to turn the deal permanent with no success, so efforts would again be made once the season ended.
With relegation though and future concerns, not least around McDonald’s own fate, White has decided on a slightly more stable course of action for his own future, and the 21 year old has now made the free transfer move to the side that beat us five one on the final day of the campaign to confirm relegation.
With Emmerson Boyce being released last week, Blackpool have no professional right back on their books as of yet.
