Blackpool have signed Adda Djeziri on a one-year deal.

The Algerian striker, who was born in Denmark, impressed Ian Holloway while on trial at Bloomfield Road and has an option of a further year.

Djeziri is seen as a player for the development squad, but at 24, and after disappointing spells at numerous clubs, his move to the Seasiders presents a footballing lifeline.

Meanwhile, Pool had a £25,000 bid for Danny Mayor turned down by Preston North End over the weekend. The midfielder, alongside Jamie Proctor, has been training with the club.

Peter Ridsdale is holding out for £200,000 for the player.
