It’s being reported that Blackpool have turned down an official offer for midfielder Brad Potts.

The rumour seems to come mainly from the Daily Mail, so instantly salt and a pinch comes to mind, especially as the offer becomes an enquiry only a few short sentences later.

In any event, following relegation to League Two, it’s said that Scunthorpe manager Graham Alexander is very keen on the former England Under 19 international, but Blackpool weren’t open to the enquiry they made for his services.

Having made 46 appearances last season, contributing six goals across the disappointing campaign, 22 year old Potts’ stock has grown despite our struggles and he was impressive in both games against Scunthorpe especially so that might be the leader behind the speculation more than anything.

But we shall see.
