Reports in the Blackpool Gazette have linked the Seasiders with a move for striker Martin Paterson after he was reportedly offered to the club.
The 28 year old is available on a free transfer after departing Orlando City, however injuries have restricted him recently and his fitness is a concern.
Paterson started his career at Stoke and has had spells at Scunthorpe, Burnley and Huddersfield. His league experience would be valuable for Pool who are lacking that up front, though it’s unclear whether Paterson will definitely sign or not yet.
