So it starts the second season in the Championship, Bristol City are the opening day opponents. Will Pool’s 12 new players be ready?

Blackpool Team News:

Twelve new players in and once again we are left wondering if the team will gel in time. From the pre-season matches its seemed that new players were yet to gel and with injuries to many first team players it’s left some fans worrying about the start to the season. Simon Grayson will be giving a few debuts out, but Daniel Nardiello and Steve Kabba won`t play due to injuries. David Vaughan has been given international clearance and can play on Saturday.

It`s anyone guess for the starting line up, Hammill may start up front but it looks like Burgess and McPhee. In midfield Southern and Jorgensen are still my pick with Gary Taylor-Fletcher on the right and Hammill / Vaughan on the left wing. The back four is anyones guess. Camera, Edwards, Evatt, Barker but there`s also Coid, Wright, Bastiste in the frame for a start.

Player to watch: David Vaughan

After signing this week all eyes will be on David Vaughan, he’s been hailed as the new Wes Hoolahan. Let’s hope he’s raring to go

Bristol City Team News:

Bristol City only made a couple of signing this summer but but one was rather big, Nicky Maynard from Crewe for a whopping £2.2 million. He scored a hat-trick on his debut but Maynard has only ever made one appearance in the Championship.

Marvin Elliot, Scott Murray and Jordan Walker all miss the kick off with injury as could keeper Adriano Basso, Chris Weale is ready to stand in for the Brazilian.

Player to watch: Nicky Maynard

With a £2.2 Million price tag all eyes will be on the ex Crewe man. Nippy and a good finisher on one-on-one situations Pool will have to keep tabs on the 21-year-old

Match Facts & Stats
