The game was played behind closed doors due to the cost Yorkshire Police wanted for policing the match. The victory, the third of the pre-season campaign was sealed late on when David Fox slotted home following good build up play between Claus Jorgensen and Ben Burgess.

Pool had taken the lead in the first half, Andy Morrell with a header from a Hills cross on 17 minutes. Midfielder Paul Evans, a former Pool loanee, pulled the sides level with a free kick from 20 yards following a Jackson foul on Donovan Ricketts.

In the second period of the game Grayson made several changes and it was three substitutes who combined for the winner in the 89th minute.

The starting eleven from today may well be the eleven that take to the pitch at the Walkers Stadium come the start of the season. At centre back it`s still 50-50 between Jackson and Gorkss, and in the middle Fox, Southern and Flynn are in competition for the two places in the middle of the park.

The full team next travel to Carlisle on the 4th for the final match of pre-season.

Pool- Rachubka (Evans 45), Barker, Jackson (Lavie 75), Evatt (Gorkss 65), Crainey, Taylor-Fletcher (Vernon 65), Southern (Fox 55), Flynn (Southern 55), Hills (Forbes 75), Morrell (Bean 75), Parker (Burgess 65).

Article based on the report from the official site, we didn`t hire a helicopter to watch the game.
