Brian House Charity Event

The hospice requires regular funding from the community in order to maintain the care and services offered by Brian House – in 2005/2006 this fee was £1 million.

As a club, Blackpool FC have visited Brian House hospice on a number of occasions to visit the patients and their families, putting a rare smile on their faces in times of great difficulty for all.

Check out these galleries from the official Blackpool FC website and you will see how much the patients appreciate the time spent with the ‘Pool players.

Given the close link between Blackpool FC and Brian House hospice, forum member PickeringHatTrick has taken it upon himself to organise an event – in conjunction with the club – to raise funds for the hospice so that they can continue to provide the great care and services to their patients throughout 2008.

On December 8th 2007, Blackpool were victorious over rivals Preston North End at Deepdale in the first Lancashire derby in seven years.

On Thursday March 6th 2008 there is going to be a fund-raising evening in the Sponsors Lounge at Bloomfield Road, in order to raise funds for Brian House.

The entire 90 minutes of the memorable Preston/Blackpool game will be screened at the evening, along with an auction and a raffle for some truly unique prizes and memorabilia.

One such prize is 2 seats in the Director’s Box for a match later in the season!

The Playoff Trophy will be on display all evening and we are hopeful that the first team squad will be in attendance with obvious opportunities for photos and autographs.

Tickets are priced at just five pounds! That’s less than the price of a programme and a pint on a match day! Numbers are limited to 350 tickets but every penny will go towards Brian House’s fundraising campaign.

Tickets are available on a first come, first served basis and will be available from the ticket office at Bloomfield Road sometime next week.

If you can, please support the event. It is for a very good and worthy cause.

We thank you for your support and we will hopefully see you on March 6th 2008.
