Blackpool travel to Ashton Gate this weekend to play league high flyers Bristol City, with a rookie ref assigned to the match!

Bristol City Team News:

Winger Ivan Sproule is suspended for the match after picking up 5 yellow cards. Team captain Louis Carey is injured with Achilles but striker Enoch Showunmi is available.

Bristol City haven`t won in three games, losing in the F.A. Cup to Boro, drawing at home with Colchester and losing to Crystal Palace on Saturday. Despite the poor form they remain in third place in the league.

Player to watch: Marvin Elliott

No player in the Bristol City team has excelled in the goal stakes, Byfield has the most with 8 in the league, mostly form the bench. Marvin Elliott has impressed from the right wing, with the odd occurrence of fitting in at right back. With four goals to his name in the league and one in the League Cup he is a threat.

Blackpool Team News:

Simon Grayson can pick Paul Gerrard who signed on loan from Sheffield United, the keeper may not get a place on the bench as Grayson continues his policy of 5 outfield players on the bench.

Keith Southern isn`t fit yet but over the next few week will be reaching fitness after ankle ligament injury.

Player to watch: Stephen McPhee

On his home debut he impressed the Seasiders faithful with a determined debut which included setting up the goal for Claus Jorgensen with a bursting run. He was unlucky not to score in the second half heading wide but will be looking to grab his first goal after his recent move from Hull.

Match Facts & Stats

The sides shared a point at Bloomers this season, Scott Murray canceling out Andy Morrell`s goal.

Pool`s last visit to Ashton Gate ended in a 4-2 win for the Seasiders, a brace from Showunmi wasn`t enough as goals from Vernon, Jackson, Parker and Graham secured one of the best away wins of the season.
