Following a massive effort from Cardiff City, both in terms of their own staff and hardcore local volunteers, this afternoon’s Championship clash in ON, with no pitch inspection planned.

Undersoil heating has protected the pitch from the snow, whilst car parks and access areas and routes in and around the ground have all been cleared and gritted.

The Cardiff official website notes that the local safety advisory group and the South Wales Police are aware of the work undertaken, and pleased that it is to an standard good enough to ensure that the game goes ahead.

Around 300 tickets have been sold for the game, with tickets now available on the day, although adult prices will increase by £2.

Vital Blackpool wishes anyone travelling a very safe journey.
