Similar to last Saturday two teams played at the same time, a first eleven played at Carlisle and young team played at Burscough.

The first team got off to a good start at Brunton Park with David Fox firing in a shot from long range on 22 minutes.

Carlisle pulled level on 62 minutes former Pool loanee Chris Lumsden firing in from out side the box. Another former Pool loanee grabbed the winner for the home side, a Gall cross was converted by Danny Graham to give the Cumbrians the win.

Fox impressed playing in the middle and will be now looking to keep his place in the starting line up for the first game of the season.

Meanwhile at Victoria Park a young 11 with trialists lost out by three goals to Burscough.
