After 29 years of waiting, Blackpool will be in the second tier of English football next season after beating Yeovil Town 2-0 in front of 59,313. Pool dominated the first half of the match, but had to wait till 42 minutes when Robbie Williams smashed in a low free kick in front of the Yeovil.

Yeovil came out in the second half looking to come back into the game, but Pool playing on the counter attack sealed the game with a classic Keigan Parker goal, curling into the far post from the angle of the box.

Town nearly made the end of the match interesting Marcus Stewart heading the ball into the turf and over, but Pool eased the way full time whistle to send the travelling 30,000 plus from Blackpool into raptures.

We now look forward to Championship Football at Bloomfield.

Full match report, pictures, players views to come??..
