Manager Lee Clark has said that it would be a massive step for Blackpool to pick up back to back victories this weekend when we face Norwich City.

Following the one nil victory over Brighton and Hove Albion in our last match, the gaffer knows that ending our away hoodoo and registering back to back wins for the first time since August 2013 would be a massive boost for everybody involved with the club.

Speaking to the Official Site he explained.

‘It’d be a massive step to get back to back wins and our first away win of the season against one of the top teams in the division. If we could do that, it’d peg back the teams ahead of us and bring them even closer to us. If we could move ahead of one of the teams above us positionally that would be psychologically huge. We’ve got to keep chipping away and take more points than the teams above us, and give everyone involved in the club that boost that we’re still in there fighting. I think we’re showing that.’

Having now picked up back to back home wins for the first time in ten months as well, Clark knows that as well as continuing to improve our home form, we seriously have to start picking up more points on our travels.

In team news Grant Hall continues to be out with ankle ligament damage, and Alex Henshall has returned to his parent club, Ipswich Town, with a knee problem. Joe Lewis hasn’t however travelled with the squad, but Clark confirmed he would join up and make the trip separately, if he recovers from illness in time to be part of the squad.
