Manager Lee Clark has called on the team to take the positives from our performance against Middlesbrough in midweek and take that into the game this weekend against Nottingham Forest because we simply have to be ready for them or we will be in trouble.

Speaking to the Official Site Clark again repeated his claim that we deserved more than what we got in the midweek clash against Middlesbrough but he knows we have to move on from that and focus on the test we face this weekend now.

‘I thought our performance warranted more than it got on Tuesday, we’ve got to continue with a lot of the good things we did in that game and push from there. They’ve had two good wins since Dougie Freedman has gone in there. They’ll be a team full of confidence, six points from six with a new manager, and we have to be ready.’

With two goals conceded against Boro from set pieces, Clark says that has been a big focus in training because he felt both goals were preventable and if we give away opportunities like that then he knows we will be punished again against Forest.

‘We’ve been looking at those before the game on the training ground. No manager wants to concede from set plays. The two goals were preventable and the second one was a killer because we were back in the game so late on. That was frustrating, but we have to focus again, be ready for Forest and try to get three points.’

Crediting the turn around in form for Forest under Freedman he went on to discuss the threats they carry in the wide areas, pointing especially to Chris Burke who he knows well from their time together previously.
