Blackpool were beaten by Colchester in League 2 on Saturday.
Gnanduillet finished off a pass from Vassell to put Blackpool one-up early on but Colchester were level before half time when Szmodics scored.
Slocombe kept Blackpool level until Porter finished from close ranger to put Colchester two-up with Fosu setting up Porter for a second time in the final 10-minutes to give the U’s a two-goal lead.
Potts’ 25-yard freekick with a minute left gave Blackpool hope but an equaliser couldn’t be found.
