There is little doubt that since signing for the Tangerines on loan that right back Seamus Coleman has been nothing short of a revelation.

The 21 year old former Sligo Rovers player has impressed both fans and pundits alike with his dazzling displays and has played a large role in the Seasiders reaching the playoff final.

And now, having had David Moyes watch him from the stands on several occasions, he has been rewarded with a new four-year contract at Goodison Park.

Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette about his new deal and his spell at Bloomfield Road, the fans’ favourite said:

‘I’ve really enjoyed my time at the club and nothing would give me greater pleasure than helping Blackpool go up.

‘We find ourselves in a Wembley final, just one game away from the Premier League. It really is an incredible story and I’m delighted to be part of it.’

Meanwhile, David Moyes added:

‘I think he’s someone who has caught the imagination of a lot of the supporters.

‘I think these games for Blackpool, at the level they’re playing at, will do him no harm at all.’
