The Mirror are this morning reporting that Ian Holloway has rejected a new contract with Blackpool.

The paper reports that the club made Ollie an offer in the region of £200,000 per year to extend his contract, but that the offer was rejected as Ollie knows that he could hold out for far more.

The Mirror goes on to report that the club will make a fresh offer to Ollie in the coming weeks.

However, the Blackpool Gazette claim that there are no problems with Ollie’s contract.

Despite this, there is a major flaw in The Gazette’s story – they report that the national press have said that Ollie’s contract expires this summer, but in fact the national press are reporting that ‘The 47-year-old’s contract with the Seasiders expires during the summer, but it is said that the club are not panicking as they have the option of a one-year extension on his current deal.’

Like the national press though, The Gazette says that Ollie – and assistant Steve Thompson – will be offered improved terms in the coming weeks.

Who’s right? We don’t know. We just hope that Ollie signs a new deal as soon as possible!
