Seasiders fans will be delighted to hear that last season’s Player of the Year Stephen Crainey has today put pen to a new two year deal, keeping him at Bloomfield Road until at least the summer of 2010. The deal also includes the option for a further third year.
With Championship rivals such as Burnley reportedly targeting Crainey this news should hopefully be the first of a number of positive transfer stories coming from Bloomfield Road in the week that the players report back for pre-season training.
Manager Simon Grayson clearly delighted at signing up Craines on a long term deal, paid his left back a glowing tribute by suggesting that his international career was far from over if he continues to produce last season’s form for the Seasiders.
All at Blackpool Vital certainly hope that is the case!
