Blackpool are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Colin Daniel in the three nil victory over Yeovil Town at the weekend at Huish Park was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Daniel was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘The midfielder bagged himself a brace as the Tangerines ran out 3-0 winners away at Yeovil Town. One of his goals was an absolute stunner, and the result was Blackpool’s first victory over Yeovil since the 2007 Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final. Brad Potts also deserves a mention – he received plenty of praise on social media for an energetic display.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Daniel for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Chris Neal (Fleetwood Town), Kieron Freeman (Sheffield United), Sonny Bradley (Plymouth Argyle), Leon Legge (Cambridge United), Harry Kyprianou (Southend United), Colin Daniel (Blackpool), Michael Doughty (Swindon Town), Milan Lalkovic (Portsmouth), Tyler Walker (Stevenage), Danny Hylton (Luton Town), James Vaughan (Bury).

Manager – Rob Page (Northampton Town).
