Does Joseph Have The Desire For Blackpool Job?

Cameroon international forward Joseph-Desire Job is the latest striker to be linked with a move to the Seasiders.

French-born Job is currently playing for French League side OCG Nice having joined them from CS Sedan in the summer of 2007.

He is best remembered in this country for his stint at Middlesbrough for whom he netted 22 goals in 112 appearances between 2000 and 2006. The undoubted highlight of his time there was scoring a second minute goal in their first ever trophy win – a 2-1 victory over Bolton Wanderers in the 2004 League Cup Final.

Blessed with pace and impressive footwork, Job nonetheless found it difficult against the more physical players in the Premier League, and found himself loaned out to Metz and Al-Ittihad.

When his contract ran out in the summer of 2006 he returned to the French League where he had had success with both Olympique Lyonnais and RC Lens earlier on in his career.

Despite being born in France Job followed his father’s advice to instead play for the Cameroons and represented them at both the 1998 and 2002 World Cup Finals.

So is Joseph just the Job for the Championship Seasiders? What do you think?
