Speaking to the Blackpool FC Official Site, Goalkeeper Colin Doyle has stressed that the side cannot afford to carry on in their current form.

He said: ‘It`s still early on, but we do need to start picking up a few victories. We`ve got a good chance on Tuesday night if we believe that we can win.’

‘We can`t afford to start losing any more because we`ll start finding ourselves behind teams and having to claw it back.’

‘We seem to play well for 45 minutes or 60 minutes, but we need to put that into 90 minutes to get the result we need.

Doyle has been one of Pool’s standout players so far this season and was vital in the Seasiders only win of the season away at Scunthorpe.

Pool take on Chesterfield at home on Tuesday and will look to bounce back from their very poor display on Saturday.

Chesterfield find themselves in 15th place having picked up 11 points and the game will see fans favourite Ian Evatt return to Bloomfield Road.
