The third round draw for the 2016/17 FA Cup will take place on Monday evening.
With the second round stage kicking off on Friday evening in the game between Macclesfield Town and Oxford United, and fixtures set for Saturday and Sunday, the clubs through to the third round draw will be known by the time the Lincoln City and Oldham Athletic match on Monday evening comes to a close.
The third round draw itself will take place ahead of that kick off on Monday December 5, and it will take place simultaneously on BT Sport and BBC Two with programmes commencing at 7.10pm approximately.
The third round stage of course sees entry for Premier League and Championship clubs and third round ties have been provisionally set for the first weekend in January (Saturday 7).
Ball numbers for the draw will no doubt be allocated over the weekend, and the draw will no doubt be subject to replays if applicable but it’ll be interesting to see who gets the so called ‘plum ties’ at this time of asking.
