Karl Oyston has offered Blackpool FC fans groups such as the BSA, BST, Yorkshire Seasiders and Basil a chance to meet him in an effort to improve relations, a statement on the official site revealed.
The meeting would take place on March 10 and the Blackpool Supporters Trust are going to hold a vote as to whether they should agree to the meeting.
The BST have been long protesting Karl Oyston’s ownership of the club and the Gazette have revealed that they wish to seek assurances about the meeting before letting its members vote on whether to agree to it or not.
This news follows Councillor Williams’ call to end the dispute between fans and ownership and to agree a truce in order for the area to stop suffering.
Part of the statement read: ‘It is clear that the council leader, as well as individual councillors, wish to support an improvement in relations between the club and its supporters, for the benefit of the club and the town`s economy.’
