It might be a few weeks since the transfer window closed now, but that has given us time to assess the players that Ollie brought into the club during the month.

After the manager dipped into the loan market to sign Andy Butler, we asked you how many more signings the club needed before the window closed.

And with three more players coming in on deadline day, it would seem that the vast majority of fans are very happy with Ollie’s wheeling and dealing.

10% of fans thought that we didn’t need anyone else, just 2% thought that we needed one more signing, whilst two more signings was the most popular option on 37%. 21% wanted three more signings, four and five signings got 2% each, whilst more than five got 26%.

Essentially, what this means is that 70% of fans wanted three signings or less, and thus are happy with Ollie’s New Year transfers. This is despite the fact that three of the four signings were loan deals: you only have to look at the reaction to DJ Campbell’s return to know that the fans are happy.

Indeed, with the exception of Stephen Husband, who’s been brought in for the future and has impressed for the reserves, all of Ollie’s January signings (Butler, Dobbie and Campbell) have made impacts on the ‘Pool first team.

With Daniel Nardiello heading to Oldham yesterday though, there is perhaps scope for a further loan signing and indeed, Ollie is looking at the loan market to see if he can strengthen his squad for the run-in to try and ensure that we’re not stretched to the bare bones in the final few games.

Our new poll asks you where you think the Seasiders will finish this season.
