Barry Ferguson has admitted that a game three days after Saturdays defeat to AFC Bournemouth suits Blackpool as they look to get that all important win to try and repair their season.

Talking to Ferguson said
“I would have preferred a game on Sunday morning, it`s not going to happen, but we need a response on this pitch,”

“Before we`ve been lucky, but the teams below aren`t far away from us. We better get a grip and realise where we are.

“It`s been going on far too long, we need to get a response at some stage, I can`t keep saying the same things week in week out.

“We have a perfect scenario with a game three days after the defeat against Bournemouth, so that`s the best thing that can happen.”

A win for Blackpool tonight is a must with games against Leicester, Huddersfield, Bolton and QPR to come this month.

Blackpool tonight welcome back old manager Ian Holloway who got Pool promoted in 2010, his second return to Bloomfield Road since leaving Blackpool for Crystal Palace in 2012.

Millwall will be without old Blackpool players DJ Campbell and Danny Shittu for tonight’s game through injury.
