Dave Jones remains the ‘odds-on’ favourite to become the next Blackpool boss.
Jones has already been interviewed once with the experienced boss at the likes of Wolves, Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday reportedly having a second interview with him now the strong favourite to become the next Blackpool boss replacing Neil McDonald, who parted company with the club following our relegation from League 1.
Should this happen he’ll end up taking over Blackpool, who beat his then Cardiff side in the 2010 Championship play-off final under Ian Holloway to make it into the Premier League.
Much has happened at both clubs since with both playing in into the topflight and dropping out again, of course the Blackpool drop since has been more severe as we’ve slid through the leagues into League 2 but Jones (out of work since leaving Wednesday in November 2013, ironically enough after the Owls lost at Bloomfield Road) could be the man to first and foremost stop the rot and then bring forward momentum?
Under the Oyston’s it’ll always be difficult for any boss though!
You would, in a way question, why Jones (obviously he wants to get back into the game) would want to take on this challenge but if he is appointed his arrival would be one of the most positive in sometime wouldn’t it?
