The first month of the year turned out to be a pretty significant one for the Football Supporters` Federation as we scored an early win by successfully challenging the police over their use of new legal powers. It set an important precedent and won some compensation for fans in the process.
There was big news from east London as a controversial plan which threatened Millwall`s New Den was dropped. The FSF gave its backing to Millwall fans in their fight.
Supporter organisations also called for an independent investigation into football`s child abuse scandal – you can add you fan group`s name to the petition by emailing info@fsf.org.uk and we can put you in touch with the campaign leaders.
Elsewhere FSF Writer of the Year Daniel Storey told the inspiring story of Bradford City and Bangla Bantams (who we`ve worked close with via our Fans For Diversity campaign) while Cardiff City and Fulham fans tore into the BBC over the TV scheduling of their 3rd Round FA Cup tie.
