DJ Campbell’s stay at Blackpool looks set to be over after the striker has agreed to join QPR, say the Fulham Chronicle.

Campbell, who was the Seasiders’ top scorer in the Premier League last season, had a £1.25m relegation release clause which Neil Warnock activated.

Newly-promoted Rangers have always been in the hunt for DJ and it came a quite a surprise that the deal has taken so long to complete.

Jacob Murtagh, journalist at the newspaper, also stated that Campbell has signed a three-year deal.

With 30 goals in 66 games for Pool, Campbell was a real success story in the rise to the top flight and Ian Holloway now has big boots to fill up front.

But time to move on, and hopefully the saga is now over and Pool can start signing targets.

From a Spurs fan – still wondering how you beat us at Bloomfield Road, but I realy hope you guys get back in the Prem, you were a breath of fresh air! I will really miss your offensive style of football, you play football the right way and the top division is where you guys belong. Also, I hope you get decent replacements for Dudley Campbell, Adam and Vaughan. I’ve also heard great things about Craig Sutherland, is he really that good?

    ***Breath of fresh air alert!***

We beat you by banging in three goals, that’s how 😉

Sutherland looks a real find, but he hasn’t played a competitive game yet. Seems to have all the attributes though. Hope you finish above City this year.
