Tom Ince’s future at Blackpool will now be decided, following England’s disappointing early departure from the European U21 Championships.

Back to back defeats against Italy and Norway mean England, from a group we would have fancied to fairly comfortably qualify from, have been knocked out in the group stages for a second successive tournament.

Ince spoke ahead of the tournament about “being focused on the Championships” but wanting to “resolve his future when he returns”, this will now be sooner than expected!

Talks with Karl Oyston will be held shortly but with just one-year left on his existing deal, and it highly unlikely a new one will be signed, it could well be in Blackpool’s best interests if he was sold this summer rather than leave on a free (well tribunal based Bosman fee) next summer.
