Blackpools goalkeeper scare earlier in the week is now over after Blackpool have declared Matt Gilks fit to play at Birmingham City on Saturday.
The initial scare came about when Gilks was sent home back to the fylde coast from the Scotland squad after sufferine a pain in his shoulder whilst training. Instead of being in the Scotland squad to face Norway Gils underwent a scan on his shoulder.
Gilks has been resting his shoulder this week after returning back to Blackpool and should be fit enough to play on Saturday at St Andrews.
Should Gilks have been injured, along side number 2 goalkeeper also out injured, pool would have faced a goalkeeping crisis and would have had to dip into the loan market to get an emergency loan goalkeeper.
