Blackpool have added another striker to the squad with Gary Bowyer completing a deal for Leyton Orient striker Armand Gnanduillet.
Gnanduillet, a former Ivory Coast U20 international who has formerly played for Le Havre and Chesterfield, has joined Blackpool on a two-year deal from League 2 rivals Leyton Orient where he had scored four-goals in his 17 appearances for the club to he joined earlier in the year.
The 24-year-old first arrived in England in 2013 when he earned a deal with Chesterfield with him involved in several loan spells too at Tranmere, Oxford and Stevenage.
Hold told the Official Website he’s pleased with his move and aims to become a better player at Bloomfield Road.
‘I feel very good and happy because Blackpool is a very big club. I think this is the right decision and a good club for me to play and get some games. I want to try and give my best in every game and train hard to be a better player. I know what I have to do and I’m ready for it.’
Bowyer isn’t, in theory anyway when all his options are fit (which is easier said than done), short of firepower now as he’s got no less than six forwards to select from.
After completing his 10th signing as Blackpool boss Bowyer added of Gnanduillet.
‘We’ve picked up quite a few injuries in the striker department so I’m pleased that we’ve been able to get the deal done in time for the game against Wycombe Wanderers. Armand brings height and power to the team and offers another option that will allow us to mix things up from an attacking point of view. He has good experience at this level and is determined to do his best for Blackpool.’
