The club have today confirmed that they are waiting on Alan Gow to decide on his future, after they made him an offer to stay at Bloomfield Road on a permanent basis.

A fee, believed to be around £200k, has been in place ever since the Scot joined back at the start of the season, but he has since kept his options open.

Supporters were beginning to question his commitment to the cause, but two energetic man of the match displays over the Christmas period have put pay to the theory that he doesn’t care.

It is rumoured that Championship clubs such as Norwich City and Burnley are still sniffing around the player, whilst Simon Grayson at Leeds looks certain to make a bid. Whether Gow would drop down a division is debatable, definitely for Grayson, who he clearly wasn’t ‘playing’ for towards the end of Larry’s reign.
