The Leicester City manager merigoround has been fired up once again after Ian Holloway 32 game spell as manager. Chairman Milan Mandaric has made a real mess of his time at the Walkers going through managers which saw the team relegated to league one on the last day of the season. Since the departure of Martin O’Neill in 2000 there have been 12 managers at Leicester.
Thoughts have turned to the new manager and with Grayson being a former City captain he`s been placed in the top three of candidates. Ahead of him in the picking order is from PNE and Derby manager Billy Davies and Paul Lambert who currently is the manager of Wycombe.
Grayson told the Gazette ‘It’s flattering to be linked with another job but it’s pure speculation, that’s all it is, I am fully focused on the summer ahead and getting the right players to Blackpool Football Club and trying to make sure that we survive once again in the Championship.
What I think is important to take into consideration is that it would be a step down from the Championship for Grayson and also that he would have to deal with chairman Milan Mandaric. Would he have the patience to keep a manager in charge if promotion didn’t come instantly. In past few seasons it`s take some ‘bigger clubs` a couple attempts to get out of league one, notably Nottingham Forest who were promoted this season and Leeds who remain in league one following defeat in the play offs.

Larry will stay no doubt about it. I expect Billy Davies to get the Foxes job.
Slow news day + it being the end of the season = it making it on to SSN.
Let’s be honest, why would Grayso want the Leicester job? He’s done atop job with Blackpool and is going places with a good side – dropping down a division to be greeted with heaps of expectation from a so-called ‘big side’ is ridiculous.
This’ll be the 5th link to them in just over a year. Onwards + Upwards
Newell would be a good and cheap appointment!
