This is turning into a very busy day and night for Blackpool. After the exits of Simon Wiles, Lewis Edge and Lee Jones, Simon Grayson has swooped to sign Huddersfield Town`s goalkeeper, Paul Rachubka on loan.

The deal has come about after both reserve Blackpool stoppers – Edge and Jones – were allowed to leave Bloomfield Road.

The former Manchester United player has signed on loan until the end of the season.

The 25 year old has yet to win a game this season, both for Town and his last loan club, Peterborough United, and in his five games has conceded eight goals.

After being the number one since he joined Town back in 2004 from Charlton Athletic for £200K, he has played 60 times but has fallen out of favour at the Galpharm Stadium this term after the signing of Matt Glennon.

The American will certainly provide stiff competition for ‘Pools ‘keeper, Rhys Evans whose recent form has been fantastic.
