Gary Taylor-Fletcher and Kevin Phillips have picked up the man of the match awards for the Seasiders’ games against Derby and Brighton.

Votes for MOM after the Derby defeat were few and far between, but GTF picks up the award for perhaps being the only ‘Pool player to attack Nigel Clough’s side with any vigour.

GTF has started the season in fine form, and everyone will be hoping that he can agree terms on a new contract.

Meanwhile, there was only one name in the running for man of the match v Brighton – Kevin Phillips.

With half an hour left and 2-0 down, the Seasiders looked dead and buried, but two goals from Phillips – including a superb equaliser in the final minute – saw ‘Pool snatch a point.

You can still vote for your man of the match against Crystal Palace on our forums, as well as registering your mark for the officials in our ‘Men In Black’ feature.
