The game which took place on Saturday saw the Manchester side run out 4-2 winners, but BSA were informed on Tuesday that the pictures of Matthews, Mortenson, Perry, Johnson and Brown were missing after the match.

BSA released a statement on their website on Tuesday regarding the incident.

Following the FC United v Blackpool Mechanics game on Saturday 18th February five of the Hall of Fame pictures were stolen. BSA were informed by Blackpool Football Club of this incident on Thursday 23rd February.

The pictures stolen were Sir Stanley Matthews, Stanley Mortenson, Bill Perry, Harry Johnson and Allan Brown. The cost implications are not yet know.

BSA would like to thank all fans for their support since this incident took place and we can assure fans that this will not stop us from working hard to complete this project. So much so, that the 60`s pictures will be on proud display for the first time prior to the game against Yeovil. As soon as we possibly can, we will replace the stolen photographs.

BSA would also like to thank Blackpool Football Club for their help so far and anticipated support in the future as we continue to create a gallery of Seasiders legends that fans can be proud of.
