HOLLOWAY GOING NOWHERE

Ian Holloway has today said that he will not be leaving Blackpool and is set to sign a new contract.

And that’s just how this very website reported it three days ago….

There had been speculation that the promotion-winning boss hit a snag in new contract talks with Chairman Karl Oyston.

As is always the case, rumours circulating the internet were wide of the mark claiming the former Leicester and Plymouth man was demanding upwards of £20k a week to manage the Seasiders. Others said he’d stormed out of Bloomfield Road this week; impossible as he was in Bristol with family.

Holloway said: ‘Anyone that thinks I would walk out on the club must be mad.

‘For people to think that I would walk out without saying anything, and that Karl and I would fall-out badly is quite ridiculous.

‘My intention is to lead Blackpool in the Premier League next season and that’s the chairman’s intention too.

‘It’s gone on for a few weeks, but we are pretty close to sorting it out I think. We are still in talks.

‘I hear all sorts of other things about me walking out, and I don’t know where they come from.

Let the signings begin!
