The young Irish winger who signed from Livingston on a season long loan was selected in the league team of the week. Hoolahan has recently broken into the first team and since has managed to hold down his place.
Hoolahan provided the cross for Scott Vernon’s header and ran the show until injury forced him out of the game late in the second half.
Last week captain Michael Jackson was selected in the league team of the week for his performance in the Bristol City win.
In other news it looks like Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham will return to the North-East after his short spell at Bloomfield Road. The young forward started one game for the Pool and made 3 appearances as a sub and grabbed a solitary goal.
One player who hopefully will be staying at Bloomfield Road in Saint’s midfielder Simon Gillett, the compact midfielder has made three starts in a tangerine shirt and manager Simon Grayson will be looking to extend his loan move to January if the Saints will allow it.

Great to see him in the League One team of the week. He is going to be a real star this season for the club.
Yep agree and so have a lot of this current Blackpol Team, the body is in place now it just needs the head or maybe two..
He fully deserves to be in this aswell.
Said all along that Hoolahan was a class act after seeing him in pre-season. Can’t understand why it took Larry so long to put him in the starting XI? Who knows, we may have picked up a few more points if he had.
Well done Wes. The first of many?
