Trinidad and Tobago midfielder Khaleem Hyland has been training with Blackpool this week, with a view to a move to the Seasiders.

The 25 year old is a tough tackling midfielder, who plays his club football for Genk, who he is in his fourth season playing for.

Hyland has so far won 37 international caps with Trinidad and Tobago, and is no longer required by the Belgian club and has been told that he can look for new employers by ex Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish.

Hyland was previously on a tial with Scottish side Celtic, but a 450,000 bid was turned down, and in 2008 was linked to Portsmouth, but the clubs initial application for a work permit was rejected by the Home Office.

Whilst waiting for the work permit to join Portsmouth, Hyland joined the clubs Belgian feeder club Zulte Waregem, where his loan was made permanent in 2009, where he stayed until 2011 before joining Genk
